Bottled Sunshine

I stare at my blank canvas frustrated at the lack of response from my fingertips to the keyboard. I’m playing in a fast forward game and I want to push pause for a moment. Rest against the bark of a tree and just be. To pause for the sunshine, blue skies. A pause to listen to the blue jay cry. A pause to take a deep breath and remember... How the stars twinkle and shimmer in the night sky, soft breeze goes by. It makes me want to cry really, such poignant moments in a life that’s too short by far like a walk in the park. There goes another shooting star I didn’t see. Breathe deeply now, One... Two... Three.........*Sigh*

I close my eyes and I pause for the moment. Don’t want to lose it. Too precious to let go of, like a lost love. I keep it with me like bottled sunshine. And in the confines of darkness it glows like a kiss. Remember it says....

Remember to pause.
